Dr Eric Jas

Eric Jas is assistant professor in the department of musicology at Utrecht University. Since 1999, he has been the general editor of the Tijdschrift van de Koninklijke Vereniging voor Nederlandse Muziekgeschiedenis and from 2004 to 2017 he was a member of the editorial board of the New Josquin Edition. His main field of research is Franco‑Flemish music of the 15th and 16th centuries and concentrates on music editions and source studies. Among his music editions are volumes of the New Obrecht Edition and the New Josquin Edition, and the collected works of Ghiselin Danckerts, Jheronimus Vinders and Benedictus Appenzeller (in progress). His monograph on the sixteenth-century choirbooks of Leiden was published by The Boydell Press in 2018.
