Liselottte Podda, BA

Liselotte Podda is a research master's student of musicology at Utrecht University. In 2018 she got her BA degree in Musicology at the University of Amsterdam. Her main interest until now has been Italian opera in the nineteenth and twentieth century, which has resulted in a BA thesis on nationalism and meridionalism in Giuseppe Verdi's La battaglia di Legnano and I vespri siciliani. Besides opera, her more recent work has focused on music and policics, hip-hop, postcolonialism, and musical reprentations of the 'Other.'
