Call for Papers: Musicological Expo

Call for Papers - KVNM Musicological Expo, 5 February 2022

The Forum Commissie of the Royal Society for Music History of the Netherlands (KVNM) invites music students and scholars to submit proposals for contributions to the annual Musicological Expo. We encourage students of different levels as well as experienced researchers to submit proposals for conference papers and panels, either in English or in Dutch.

Contributions about any music-related topic are welcome. One of the aims of the Expo is to facilitate cross-disciplinary exchange between scholars of different backgrounds, including historical musicology, ethnomusicology, music cognition, musical performance, and artistic research. After the long absence of physical conferences due to Covid-19, we plan to finally meet again in person. Therefore, the Expo also is a platform to make new and revive old connections with other music scholars that are active in the Netherlands in an informal way.

The Expo will take place in the cultural centre Parnassos in Utrecht on Saturday 5 February 2022. Please send an abstract of max. 300 words for a conference paper or a panel to The deadline is 19 December 2021. We are looking forward to receiving your contribution!
